Accreditation

Marches Care Ltd and The Uplands are recognised for excellence by many national and local accreditation organisations.

The Uplands is also now recognised by the Care Quality Commission as fully compliant (good in all domains). This is a great achievement, building on the consistent attainment of being inspected as an Excellent Home under the previous regulatory scheme.  Those we care for and their relatives are welcome to see copies of the inspection reports kept by the Home and we encourage service users and their representatives to meet with CQC inspectors.   Copies of all our inspection reports can be found on the CQC website, but you can read the latest report here.

Marches Care has achieved Bronze Investors in People accreditation. The standard defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results and IIP accredited organisations are exemplars in people management. It is underpinned by a rigorous assessment methodology and a framework which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.

The Uplands is accredited by the Gold Standards Framework for end of life care, and our Home and our staff team have been recognised at many award ceremonies for excellent achievement. The Gold Standards Framework is a national programme recognised by the Department of Health, which aims to: • Improve the quality of care for people nearing the end of life. • Improve collaboration between care staff, GPs, specialist teams and primary health care teams. • Reduce inappropriate hospital admissions thus enabling people to die in their place of choice with the appropriate care and support.

More information about the Gold Standards Framework can be found at www.goldstandardsframework.org.uk

Marches Care is committed to being as environmentally friendly as possible, and was the first Care business in the UK to be awarded gold status in the Green Achiever Awards.
