Marches Care Ltd is a family company wholly owned by Tony and Tricia West and their daughter, Mandy Thorn.

The family bought The Uplands Nursing Home in Dorrington in 1985, and have operated it as a quality nursing home until the move to the new home at Oxon which opened in June 2007.

Their daughter joined them in the business in 1994 and between them they built a nursing home well-respected for providing excellent standards of nursing care for patients with complex healthcare needs.

Managing Director Mandy Thorn, Nurse Manager Denise Marshall RGN, Deputy Manager, Linda Riley RGN, Senior Sister Carol Adams RGN and Senior Sister Val Floyd RGN have all achieved their Registered Manager's Award and hold an NVQ IV in Care.

The Uplands achieved Investors in People national standard, and as the management and core staff have all moved to the new home at Oxon this standard is maintained.
